Hello, Zara here!
It all started with an idea and a small candle lantern….
Over eight years ago I started Za Za Homes, with a vision in mind to bring the beauty of decorative mood lighting and home interiors to life. What started with a small collection of candlelight has now flourished into a small, independent business that I am incredibly proud of, and although our team and product range has grown over the years, I still take the same hands-on approach I’ve always had, and we pride ourselves on our high levels of personal customer service. I took the name ‘Za Za’ from a childhood nickname which I still get called by old friends today!
Here’s a little you tube video for you to watch, sharing a few things about me and the business. (Please click on the text to watch.)
We’re still a family run business based in sunny Devon, and we believe that every product has its own unique story to tell. We’re proud to have one of the largest ranges of high quality candle lanterns and garden oil torches available in the UK and I have thoroughly enjoyed personally designing and developing the range. Our range has grown over the years, to now include a beautiful selection of rustic and Scandi furniture, plus a lovely choice of tasteful home accessories. Many of our products and accessories have been designed in house by our team, making much of our range unique. We style ourselves on creating products that fit well into a modern home, whilst keeping an organic and rustic style.
We have a strong focus on supporting traditional skills, and the majority of our range is handmade in Indonesia and India by skilled local independent artisans using traditional production methods. Much of our range is hand weaved with natural fibres or made from solid wood. Our suppliers have become true friends, and many have been with us since the creation of Za Za Homes.
This personal handmade touch allows many of our products to be unique and individual, meaning that there won’t be any two of the same in the world, and we value the uniqueness of a handcrafted piece over a mass produced item from an assembly line.
Sustainability is also very important to us, we do our best to make sure that our products come from sustainable sources, are FLEGT certified, and that the wood is sourced from legal regulated government plantations.
Customer service is at the heart of what we do, and we place high importance on ensuring that we provide top quality products, from sustainable sources where possible, and a reliable, friendly service. We will always do our very best to deliver your purchases on time and in perfect condition, but will always be on hand to answer any questions and resolve any issues you may have.
