Festive Table Decor

Setting your table at Christmas time is always a joy to do and really does set the scene for this special festive occasion. There is so much you can do when it comes to planning your Christmas table decorations, from coordinating your Christmas serve ware to adding festive candlelight.

Start by deciding your colour palette. Would you like a neutral Christmas table setting, combining white, grey and natural shades? Or do you fancy a beautiful copper and gold setting with brass candlesticks and serve ware, which is always a favourite for Christmas table settings.

Decorating the home at Christmas time is always great fun and an opportunity to think outside of the box and create something simply magical. Festive table decorations are an important part of Christmas decor and can really complete the room for Christmas Day. It does not however end with Christmas Day, it is great to have your table set with Christmas decor for the lead up to Christmas and then for Boxing Day and your special new year celebrations!

Use serving trays and chopping boards to display your favourite Christmas dishes on the table. Wooden boards are also simply perfect as cheeseboards and for creating festive grazing boards. Or serve your favourite canapés or cocktails in style with one of our hand hammered antique copper or wooden serving trays.

Create a focal point for your festive table by adding an eye-catching Christmas table centrepiece. Choosing a centrepiece for your Christmas table is great fun and really can set the scene for your Christmas dinner or party. Festive candlelight is a popular choice as candlelight really does create a that relaxing festive feeling. Candelabras are a popular choice for the centre of the dinner table as they give height, save space and take a few dinner candles at once, creating beautiful cosy candlelight. Otherwise you can choose to line a few candlesticks or group small tealight holders along the table. If you have a larger dining table or plan to decorate the rest of the room with lighting, larger candle lanterns can also be an excellent choice to add extra Christmas mood lighting.
