Material

• Handcrafted from solid natural teak root — each item is shaped entirely by the tree's own form, delivering warm honey and rich brown tones with a raw, organic character unlike any sawn timber.
• A true by-product material: teak root is salvaged from trees already harvested for timber or land clearance, making full use of wood that would otherwise go to waste.
• As every root grows differently, variations in shape, size, colour and grain are inherent — no two pieces are the same, and dimensions will vary, but we have provided the possible variations within the dimensions shown.

Care

• Cleaning: Wipe away spills immediately using a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth, as standing moisture can leave marks on untreated wood. Always use coasters and table mats to protect the surface from heat and watermarks.
• Maintenance: To preserve the natural wood and help protect against stains, apply a quality teak or natural wood oil every few months using a soft cloth and working with the grain. For a lighter finish with a natural sheen, coconut oil is a simple alternative. Always test any treatment on the underside first before applying to the visible surface.
• Sunlight and heat: As a living natural material, teak root may move subtly over time in response to changes in temperature, humidity and direct sunlight. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources where possible to minimise movement and preserve the wood's character.
