Care

• Cleaning: Wipe away spills immediately using a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth, as standing moisture can leave marks on untreated wood. Always use coasters and table mats to protect the surface from heat and watermarks.
• Maintenance: To preserve the natural wood and help protect against stains, apply a quality teak or natural wood oil every few months using a soft cloth and working with the grain. For a lighter finish with a natural sheen, coconut oil is a simple alternative. Always test any treatment on the underside first before applying to the visible surface.
• Sunlight and heat: As a living natural material, teak may move subtly over time in response to changes in temperature, humidity and direct sunlight. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources where possible to minimise movement and preserve the wood's character.
