Material

• The seat has been hand-woven from natural abaca fibre — derived from the leaf stalks of the abaca plant, a relative of the banana plant native to Asia, producing a fine, tightly woven texture with warm, natural tones.
• Abaca is one of the world's strongest natural plant fibres. It is grown and harvested sustainably without felling the plant, which continues to regenerate naturally after each harvest.
• The stool frame has been handcrafted from solid teak — a premium hardwood renowned for its strength, durability and beautiful grain — the frame is naturally hard-wearing and resilient, offering timeless style and exceptional longevity.
• The teak used in this frame has been sustainably sourced from legal, regulated government plantations via FLEGT-certified suppliers, in compliance with the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR), ensuring the wood originates from a renewable and responsibly managed source.
• As this piece is handmade from natural materials, variations in colour and grain across both the seat and frame are perfectly normal — each stool carries its own individual character.

Care

• Cleaning: Clean gently using a dry or slightly damp cloth and dry immediately afterwards. A very soft brush may be used with care. Remove spills promptly to help prevent staining. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Maintenance: Keep away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture to preserve the integrity of the weave. Suitable for indoor or covered outdoor use only.
